Southern California Beaches {Travel}

Have I ever told you I really enjoy the beach? Well I do! I’ve been far North to the shores of Victoria, British Canada and as far South as Lima, Peru. But it still amazes me how beautiful our Southern California beaches are.

With this in mind here are a few photographs I’ve taken that I want to share with you for my “Travel Tuesday”.

Next Destination {Travel}

As I plan my travels to Croatia, my mind wonders of distant lands. The doors are open and my mind soars. I wonder what could be planned or explored. What is reasonable and what is not. I wish I could pack it up.

As I think forward it reminds where I have been. I think a few “Travel Tuesday” are in need.

Here are a few quotes and poems I found on Travel. Please stay tuned as I draft my next “Travel Tuesday”.

I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move; to feel the needs and hitches of our life more nearly; to come down off this feather-bed of civilisation, and find the globe granite underfoot and strewn with cutting flints.

Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden {Travel}

Welcome to Travel Tuesday!

You might of remembered me talking about my day trip to The Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Gardens. It was a beautiful day outside that weekend I just had to escape out of the house and be one with nature again.

Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta {Travel}

For nine days in October, the New Mexico skies are painted as hundreds of balloons lift off from Albuquerque’s Balloon Fiesta Park. Whimsical special shapes and Balloon Glows create a magical landscape for spectators to wander. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta will leave you awestruck and wanting more.

In October 2007 I had the awesome experience to attend the balloon festival. It was something I only heard about. I had the satisfaction of attending and photographing the event. Once again, it was anther trip that I took by myself as I traveled through a couple states and drove 12 hours straight to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Today, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is known worldwide as an event that emphasizes fun flying and camaraderie over serious competition. It’s ironic that the Fiesta got its start, in large measure, as an arena for that most serious of competitions, the World Championships.
