Going through my photography archives, I reunited with Kris. So this week I thought I bring out some of my best photographs from our session. I had the pleasure of photographing Kris in late 2008.
Talk about a fun session! Kris is an adult entertainer that lives in the Hollywood Hills. He needed some new portraits that were a little different then the typical studio portrait. So during my consultation with him, I thought what would be perfect to shoot in Hollywood. We started talking more and more and came up with a few locations. We did not want the typical photograph on the Hollywood strip or at a popular hot spot. I mentioned the Hollywood Hills as the Hollywood Sign would be an added bonus. He said that would be awesome! I had an idea to go outside of Madonna’s old house, you know the one she painted like candy stripes that upset the neighborhood. In my mind I had an idea to photograph Kris up against the gates. It was so much fun to see my vision come to life. I think this is totally what I needed for this edgy guy.
If you’ve been to Hollywood, you’ll know it’s a lot of driving and turning through these hills. Each turn you make you see something. It’s kind of funny how the photographs came about. We are leaving the gates of Madonna’s old house and walked to the left we see the Hollywood sign. When we parked we had come down the hill making tons of turns and right their in front of you is the Hollywood Sign. If this didn’t call out to me and say photograph me! So I had Kris standing out in the middle of the street starting to pose. I said stop and give me how you stand everyday.Boom he posed and the photograph was taken with him and the Hollywood Sign in the background. What a great session! I hope you agree.
