Grandfather’s Inspiration in Anthony’s Photography Career

A Grandfather that everyone needs know.

Most people my age don’t have living grandparents. I’ve been blessed to have my mom’s parents alive and with that being said having my Grandparents in my life.  I’m proud to say I’ve lived with for a few years and with that I spent countless hours getting to know them. I know them well enough to order food or drinks for them. To understand how they operate and know what they expect. This I’m blessed for as many people don’t have this opportunity in life.

My grandfather has health problem and today we are off to the Neurosurgeon for a follow-up evaluation. I find myself thinking about him more often and looking back on how much he has inspired my life without him even knowing.  He’s such a great devoted man with a heart of gold. My grandfather is an honest, courageous, funny and a great story teller. When he laughs it’s hard not to join in. I hope I acquired a percentage of his traits.

My Grandfather used to work in the backyard every chance he had. He’s slowed down since he reach his 80+ years. My grandparents had to hired a gardener to do the things that my grandfather used to be able to do with ease. My Grandfather still to this day maintains his roses. Since I’m able to remember, my grandfather always had such a beautiful collection of roses. His roses would grow larger than a humans hand. The flowers would have such a beautiful fragrance I could smell them now as I remember back.

Through the years I’ve enjoyed walking around their backyard photographing every nook and cranny. Between my grandfather’s roses and my grandmother’s plants, I had plenty to photograph. Come meet my grandfather and see a small glimpse of the roses and flowers they have in the their backyard.

Family Portraits with the Doti’s

Irene isn’t just a client, she’s also a dear friend. Irene wanted a portrait of her and her three dogs. She’s always been an animal lover but never had a professional photograph taken. After a short time during my consultation, I decided to photograph her at her residence in Huntington Beach, CA. Sometimes it’s a little more relaxing being in your own environment. I had such a blast photographing them. Each dog had their own personality and I thought it reflected in my photography. It’s great when things work in your favor.  Thank you Irene for allowing me to capture some beautiful moments with you and your dogs.

Now it’s time to meet Irene, Jimmy, Boney & Oscar.

Great Job Anthony

Raccoon City

Monday night my sister and nephew came running inside after seeing a raccoon walking toward them on the sidewalk. Of course I ran and got my camera and wanted to capture them. Well my nephew and I went out looking for them and didn’t see them.

So now I’m on the patio BBQ’n some steaks and what decides to cross the street, a damn raccoon. Caught me off guard as I thought they were pulling my leg.

So with my camera next to me I run outside with no socks and shoes and run towards the raccoon. To my surprise I see two. Okay a little scared at this point cause I know how they could get.  So I start aimed snapped and ran back inside before I burnt the food (yeah right before they ate me)!

So here is my one and only photograph I took of them. I thought they were cute. I’ll have to tell you about my other story with a raccoon and I in Costa Rica.

Great photo. I remember a skunk incident from the past somewhere too! LOL You got some great eye contact. Their coloring is perfect to blend in with that tree. I would think you were pulling my leg if I didn’t see it for myself. Great job.

Downtown Riverside, CA

Sunday morning I woke up really early. I didn’t want to sleep any more. I started watching my inspiring DVD collection for Professional Photographers called PhotoVision. I was so inspired by one of the wedding photographers I decided I would wonder around downtown Riverside, CA to photograph the beautiful artistic landscape. If you know me, I started out in photography by landscape photography. I haven’t done much landscape photography since going to Peru. So I thought it was time to get out and about and enjoy the fresh clean air. So I drove downtown to photograph the beautiful landscape you see before you.
