You might remember a while ago I shared a sneak peek of Matt & Stacey’s maternity session. Well today I’m going to let you in as I give you access to the session.
Everyone meet Matt, Stacey and their son Aiden.

Matt and Stacey are going to be having a second boy. They are still tossing around names. A few awesome choices from what I’ve heard. I can’t wait to hear what they decided.

Aiden is a bright, funny kid. I know he’s going to be a great big brother.

Stacey decided that we should have our session at her parents house. Once I got on location I looked around and quickly pick out the spots for our session. Since we used her parents house, I felt I had to give her mom a thank you present. So I asked her mother to come out so I could photograph her with her grandson Aiden.this is one of my favorite Grandmother/Grandson photographs.

Stacey and I got a little creative. All a suddenly got a quick idea as I wanted to play with and idea of her and the skirt. I asked her to spin around like Wonder Woman as I slowed my shutter speed catching all the motion of the skirt. I just love it. If it wasn’t for Stacey being so willing, I would of never had a photograph like the one below. This was one of my favorites from our session.

I love texture. Here I placed Matt and Stacey in the foreground and behind them was a tall brick wall covered in ivy. Below them, are beautiful stones. What a perfect combination of texture. Did you notice that Stacey has a foot raised. Once I saw that I thought how cute it was.

My third creative thought (second creative thought didn’t work so I won’t be talking about what that was) was using the diving board. I laugh to this day but we (Stacey and I) managed to pull it off. I wanted to capture the beautiful blue tile and the green shrubs in the background. Even the small palm tree adds an element.

Once again I refer back to where it all began, with Matt and Stacey. I sit here and smile remembering when the photograph below was taken. I love capturing that special moment between couples. I can’t remember what I said but I remember seeing this smile from Matt and seeing how beautifully Stacey was looking at him while she was touching his face. To me this is a magic moment.

Anther special moment for me is capturing a family right before there next phase of life begins. I look at the photograph below and can’t help but think, three stand before me and soon it’ll be four. But in this frozen moment it’s the three of them.

Thank you Matt, Stacey and Aiden for allowing me the ability to do what I love. I had a blast getting inspired and creative with you. I look forward to meeting your new addition in the next following weeks!
