Meet Erik & Cherie!

They are celebrating their 5 year wedding anniversary this month. Erik & Cherie came to me from a mutual friend. The couple had worked with several photographer in the past but felt their final images lacked the spark, emotion and composition that they so desired. During my consultation I dove deep to gain insight into what they were looking for. Cherie and I agreed that she should bring some examples from their previous photographers with them the day of our session. Once I had the examples in front of me, I quickly gained insights to what she liked and dislike. I find visual examples lead to better communication where words can not always get the point across specially when you don’t know the right phrase or term to get your point across.

With no further delay, let’s meet Erik & Cherie

Erik & Cherie cherish this location as it’s where they took their wedding photos 5 years ago. The photographer missed the fact that this park had these beautiful bridges and running water. It was important to them that I captured this element in their session.

If you’ve been following me, you know I always tend to pull aside each person and do a one-on-one with them. So here is my favorite image of Cherie on her one-on-one. I love that barn as it added that extra texture.

My favorite from Erik’s one-on-one. I wanted to captured the water element in the background as it’s part of their memories of their wedding day.

This next image is a real tricky one. Standing above the couple and trying to keep my camera still while maintaining my focus was really hard. After many tries, I think I got this one right.

I end with one of my favorite photographs from our session. This is one tender, real and an emotional moment captured forever.

Erik & Cherie, thank you for your trust and honesty. Communication is key and I think we communicated well as we created some beautiful memories to last you a life time. Congratulations on your 5 year anniversary!!
