Runyon Family {Holiday Session}

I had a holiday session a couple of days ago with the Runyon’s. You might remember their “Sneak Peak”. Well here are a few photographs from our session that I really want to share with you.

A little history as I’ve known Josh & Megan for many years. They have been great clients and great friends of mine. You might remember their “Maternity Session” and their “Newborn Session”.  This time they scheduled me for their “Holiday Session”.

We met at this beautiful park in Yorba Linda called Yorba Regional Park. This location is so beautiful and full of possibilities to someone like me who’s very creative.

I used the tree’s in the background along with the rocks in the foreground to create the photograph below.

I like to make sure I pull each parent aside and photograph them with each of their children.

I find that most parents don’t have professional photographs with their kids.

As I walk around the location, I pull each parent aside and capture a lasting memory.

Some times the children listen and some times they don’t. Regardless I keep shooting. Reason why I share the example below. I love the fact that Natalie is off to the side. I adds to the photographs. I imagine she’ll laugh at this years down the road.

Then I attempt to photograph each child by themselves.

I even ask the parents to separate so I could photograph them by themselves.

These make great gifts for their spouse at home or office.

I always ask the parents to get together.  I do this so I could photograph them since many of them haven’t had professional photographs since their wedding day.

Runyon’s, thank you so very much for allowing me back into your lives. You have allowed me to do what I love and I really hope you enjoy your holiday photographs for many years to come.
