You might remember Josh and Megan’s maternity session. Well last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing their newborn baby girl Olivia! Olivia was born on 6/15 making her 13 days old when I photographed her. As you will shortly see that she is so very precious.
I bought a bean bag recently so I could use it for my newborns. I’ve heard many good things and useful tips on photographing newborn session. The bean bag give me the extra support and helps mold the babies. This is an area that needed improvement.
Shortly after I placed Olivia on the bean bag I quickly understood it and was able to mold her once she was asleep. Below is one of many favorite photographs from our session.
Megan has the most beautifulest eyes. They worked in perfect harmony here.
And of course I couldn’t forget to photograph their 2 year old daughter Natalie. She gave me a huge smile in photograph below.
New father of two, Josh jumped in and allowed me to photograph him and his daughter Olivia.
Here I also tried something new. At this time Olivia just about had enough. I was able to only get this one photograph before she started to cry.
I also love to capture when I can the bond between mother and baby.
I loved the way that Olivia was looking up at Megan.
Once again both of them are looking straight at me. What a pleasure it was to photograph this new family of four.
To wrap up the session I love photographing the entire family. Here Olivia had enough and wasn’t going to participate any more. I always guide the family that a crying baby is okay, let’s just all look at the camera and give me a one more beautiful smile. As you can tell they did.
