Anthony Lujan received his first camera when he was in elementary school. He still remembers the first picture he ever took as a child; it was of his teacher blowing a gigantic bubble with a mouth full of bubble gum. There were only a few seconds to grab the shot, but Anthony had his camera ready and captured the moment with ease. The shutter clicked. The bubble popped. And a life long passion for photography had begun.
Today, Anthony is a seasoned photographer whose natural artistic sensibilities and insight have helped him build an impressive and diverse portfolio. He looks at photography as a deep conversation between eye and hand, between camera and subject, between perception and reality. Each time Anthony shoots, he utilizes a fresh approach with the goal of capturing the perfect combination of light, color, texture and contrast. He challenges himself to create an image that goes beyond what is expected to produce a photograph that conveys emotion and will be remembered.
Anthonys photography has been greatly influenced by the people he has met and the places he has visited. He has photographed throughout the United States and internationally in Costa Rica, Peru and Canada. Every new country Anthony visits and every new culture he is exposed to further inspires him to look at things in a fresh and innovative way. And while he carries the knowledge and experience from past environments with him, he never tries to emulate other photographers.
